I don’t really do resolutions… to be honest. I feel like why am I going to stress out and force myself to do something I really don’t want to do. I know I should lose some weight. I know I should exercise more. I know I should eat better, but I just plain don’t have time. I work full time, and only see my son for a few hours each night after work, but before bedtime. I would rather spend that time with him. Then I end up eating late, and by that point I am exhausted, so I eat something quick, easy and most likely bad for me.

This year I am trying to stay in the spirit of doing something good with my resolutions. This year I am going to start planning a museum/education/culture day once a month for Peanut. He is 4 now, and is very smart and curious about things. Plus he is able to walk around for long periods of time without a stroller. So I guess instead of a resolution, I am trying to start a family tradition. The key for me is to put it in the calendar so we can plan around it.

I found this link Essential Guide: Philadelphia Museums That Your Kids Will Like which has a TON of great suggestions. Most of which I knew about, but others were new suggestions (like the Fireman’s Hall). I think Peanut will really enjoy having new adventures. Here’s hoping we stick with it. 🙂
